Allen Johannesen, RIP
We are sorry to report that Al Johannesen died on December 18. Al was a founding member of the Fish Club. He died peacefully with his family at his side. Al was a great friend and enjoyed the camaraderie of the Fish Club. Over the years he could be counted on to be in attendance at every dinner. Al grew up in Seattle and enjoyed his Norwegian heritage and was active in the fishing industry there as a young man. During Al’s Naval career he was a submarine commander in the US Navy. After retiring from the Navy, Al enjoyed a second career as a property manager. In addition to the Fish Club he was active in Valhall Lodge and the House of Norway. Our deepest sympathies go out to his wife Thelma, son Stephen, and other members of his family. We will provide information about Al’s memorial service when we receive it.

Tusen Takk to Don Lesney
Don Lesney passed away last year. He was active in many Norwegian activities, and he showed his love of Norwegians in his bequests.
We are so grateful for his donations to Valhall Lodge, the House of Norway, and the Norwegian Fish Club of San Diego.
May he be resting in peace!
